Employer of record
Setting up a legal entity in Thailand takes time. For companies that need staff operational before that process is complete, or that want to validate their Thailand strategy before committing to full incorporation, an Employer of Record arrangement is the most practical solution available.
An Employer of Record (EOR) is a third-party organisation that legally employs staff on your behalf in Thailand. The EOR appears on all official employment documents as the legal employer and takes on the full set of statutory obligations: drafting compliant contracts, running payroll, withholding personal income tax, registering employees with the Social Security Fund, and ensuring compliance with the Thai Labour Protection Act. You retain full control over the day-to-day management of the staff and their work.

When an EOR Makes Sense
An EOR is the right solution when you need staff in Thailand before your entity is registered, when you are testing the market with a small team before committing to full incorporation, or when you need a foreign employee on the ground quickly with a compliant local contract.
Most companies use an EOR for an initial period of 6 to 18 months, then transition to a fully incorporated entity as their operations grow. KLAY manages both stages, ensuring a smooth handover with no disruption to your team.
